Why do professional images matter in an industry where agents will tell you it's okay to just send them selfies? A selfie may be enough for that agent to meet their quota, but if you actually want to be selected for that job your images need to assure that hiring director that you are professional and capable of doing that job without making them look bad.
Selfies and amateur photos are not likely to make you look professional or capable and most importantly, not get you hired.
